ABOUT APRIL GETZ

LIFE COACH

My Story

For a long time, I thought the goal was to fit in. Like many women, I learned early how to adjust, adapt, and become what was needed — in relationships, in work, and in life. From my late teens into adulthood, I was constantly “acting” in different roles, trying to create connection and stability.

From the outside, things looked fine. But over time, I realized that fitting in often meant losing touch with myself. After years of building a life that worked on the surface, I reached a point where I knew something needed to change.

So I stopped trying to fit — and started figuring out who I actually was.

That shift changed everything.

A Journey from Invisible to Authentic —
and the Calling to Lead Others Home

I grew up in a home shaped by alcoholism, chaos, and emotional absence. As a child, I learned to disappear — to stay quiet, stay small, and stay out of the way. I remember the loneliness more than anything. The feeling of being unseen became the backdrop of my entire childhood.

At fifteen, desperate to escape, I ran away with a boyfriend. But I quickly discovered that dysfunction doesn’t disappear just because you change locations. His home carried the same emotional instability I had tried to flee. I left that relationship knowing I wanted something different but not yet knowing how to find it.

At nineteen, I married a man who felt safe — a father figure, someone older, someone who seemed steady. But safety is not the same as love. I spent years performing for approval, trying to earn attention, trying to be “good enough.” He was controlling, and I didn’t yet know how to claim my own voice. I didn’t know who I was — only who I was supposed to be.

At forty-five, everything changed. I realized I could no longer stay in a marriage where I was unsupported, unseen, and emotionally alone. I chose divorce — not because it was easy, but because it was the first time I chose me. I raised my son and daughter on my own, determined to give them the emotional presence I never had. And I did. They grew into strong, successful adults, and I made it a priority to meet with them regularly, pouring wisdom into them, breaking generational patterns one conversation at a time.

But when they left home, I felt the familiar emptiness return. My purpose as a mother had been fulfilled — but who was I now?

That question led me to personal coaching.

What I've Learned

Over the past decade, I’ve invested deeply in personal development, emotional growth, and spiritual understanding.

My work is shaped by both lived experience and formal training.

My Approach

I created "The Tetrad Eyes" — a framework designed to help women better understand the patterns, thoughts, and internal dynamics that shape the way they move through life.

This work is not about giving advice or telling you who to be. It’s about helping you recognize what’s been influencing your decisions, reconnect with your own voice, and move forward with more clarity and self-trust.

Through honest conversation and thoughtful questions, I help people:

 recognize repeating patterns

separate learned habits from genuine beliefs

better understand themselves and their emotions

make decisions that feel more aligned with who they are now

My approach is practical, grounded, and rooted in both lived experience and personal growth. I offer a supportive space for people who are used to handling everything on their own, but are ready to reconnect with themselves in a deeper and more intentional way.

Mission Statement is for you to shift how you see yourself. Reclaim your inner wisdom. Build an identity that strengthens how you move through the world -

Vision Statement

To create a space where people confidently redefine who they are, trust their inner wisdom, and build a clear, empowered identity that elevates how they live, speak, and lead. My vision is a world where individuals move with intention, make aligned choices, and show up with the clarity and self‑trust needed to transform their lives from the inside out.

Three Core Values

1. Clarity

Seeing yourself and your choices with honesty and precision.

2. Self‑Trust

Building confidence in your inner wisdom and aligned decisions.

3. Intentional Action

Moving through the world with purpose, direction, and empowered identity.
